My latest project

My dh did really great with Christmas gifts this year! My big gift was the Xyron 900, so I could create my own stickers (or as he says, a really expensive replacement for glue dots). Plus I received new scrapbooking pens and some ribbons.

Anyway, now that I've had a little bit of time to myself, I've been working on my exploding box. I created the box a month ago, but haven't had time to decorate it or place my pictures. My plan for this box is to highlight a special day up at Silver Lake this summer - even though the whole family went, it was really a daddy/son day, and I just went along to take pictures, while Audrey hung out in the baby sling.

So I cut all the papers to decorate the "pages," ran them through my Xyron, and realized that I hadn't rounded the corners yet. Oops! I suggest rounding corners before applying adhesive. I also discovered that choosing the "best fit to page" option is not a good idea - my portrait orientation pictures all printed too large to use in my box. So I've reprinted them, and now I'm waiting for them to dry so I can cut them, and put them in.

Check back soon for pictures of my completed box!
